You hear about 80s clothes, you have seen these fashion icons reborn in various forms during the 90s and 2000s, but rarely do they fully convey the true fashion of the 80s. To help you out, we've put together this 80s clothes guide that will take you through some of the 80s clothes and hair styles - as captured on film back in the 80s.

Puffy shirts & Pirates
The puffy shirt and pirate look can be traced back to Vivienne Westwood's fashion show in 1981. Models in the show carried Walkmans [the size of bricks] and wear baggy round the ankle flat heel boots, henna ringlets and gold teeth. The collection is about gold and treasure, adventure and exploration. That's enough to send a shiver down anyone's spine. 80s pirate collection.
Leg Warmers
This gallery takes you through some styles of leg warmers of the 80's. Leg warmers started with dancers - and are still worn by many today. By around 1982 they began to make an appearance in wider society: you could now pretend you were a dancer by wearing leg warmers over the top of your jeans. Leg Warmers gallery.
Fingerless Gloves
Need something to wear with your legwarmers? Try fingerless gloves - they can still be surprisingly sexy today. Judge for yourself. Fingerless Gloves.
Ski Fashion
It's cold outside, and the early 80s have just past, so leg warmers and fingerless gloves are out. What 80s clothes should you wear on and off the ski fields. It's a tough choice. 80s clothes for skiers.
Don't tease me!
You've got the outfit sorted and some great accessories, but what about your hair? Something needs to be done to properly complement your 80s clothes. Flock of Seagulls? Elle Mcpherson circa 88. Some much to choose from, have a look.
